Banana Modak/Mulik

Banana Modak also known as Mulik is popular and delicious Konkani sweet recipe prepared during the Ganesha Chaturthi festival.

Ingredients:
Semolina/Rava - 1 cup
Riped Bananas (small) - 2 (around 1/2 cup)
Jaggery/Bella (powdered/liquid) - 1/2 cup
Wheat Flour/Godhi Hittu - 2 tsp
Cardamom/Elakki Powder - 1 tsp
Oil or Ghee - for deep frying
Method:
Peel and mash the Bananas in a bowl. To mash the Bananas, you can use Blender also.
Add Jaggery and mix it nicely until well combined.
Add Wheat Flour, Cardamom Powder and mix it well.
Add Semolina and mix everything well, to make soft dough.
Adjust the consistency by adding more Semolina or Water.
Keep this mixture aside for 15 minutes.
Heat Oil or Ghee in a frying pan.
Once oil is hot, take small portion of dough mixture and slowly drop.
Deep fry over low flame until crisp and golden brown.
