#veg
Bonda Soup is very famous dish in Namma Bangalore. I became aware of this only after I came to Bangalore. Generally, in our native, we prepare same bonda and serve it with coconut chutney.
For bonda soup, we dip the urad dal bondas into spiced dal/dalitoy/rasam.
Yummy and deliciuos snack.

Ingredients:
For Bonda:
Urad Dal - 1 cup
Oil - for frying
Onion and Coriander (finely chopped) - for garnishing (optional)
For mixing:
Coconut (chopped) - 2 to 3 tbsp
Black Pepper (crushed) - 2 tsp
Coriander Leaves (finely chopped) - Few
Curry Leaves (finely chopped) - Few
Green Chilly (finely chopped) - 1
Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 tsp
Salt
Method:
To make Bonda:
Soak Urad Dal for 2 to 3 hours. Grind with very little water, until smooth.
Add all ingredients given under "For mixing" section above and mix well.
Heat the Oil in a kadai.
Make small desired sized balls from the mixture and drop into the heated oil. Deep fry till crispy.
Hot and yummy Urad Dal Bondas are ready.
To make a soup, click this link: Dalitoy.
This is our regular Dalitoy, we generally make using Toor Dal. For Bonda soup, I have replaced Toor Dal with Moong Dal and increased little spice.
To Serve Bonda Soup:
Take a bowl and place 2 to 3 bondas into it.
Top the bondas with required amount of Dalitoy.
(Optional) Garnish with Coriander and Onions.
Serve hot during evening snacks.
